Heath brings over 20 years of industry experience across several sectors, including specialty steel and off-road equipment manufacturing. His areas of expertise include design, process specification control, CAD/CAM design, and prototyping. Heath is also skilled in implementing process improvements, optimizing tooling, and adopting digital solutions to enhance production efficiency.
Heath joins CIRAS from John Deere, where he served as a Staff Materials Engineer in the factory fluids, plating, and wear group. During his 13-year tenure, he also served on their Chemical Processes and Quality groups. At John Deere, Heath administered an SPC system, led investigations of non-lubricated wear improvements, and served as a quality engineer for gear manufacturing.
In his previous roles at Transonic Systems and Crucible Industries, Heath implemented tooling improvements to reduce product variation, identified and implemented several high-ROI process enhancements, and upscaled a new grade from lab development to production.
As an Engineering Project Manager, Heath will assist clients with engineering challenges, including non-destructive evaluation, simulation work, and material/product testing. Heath’s diverse experiences and knowledge make him a valuable addition to the CIRAS team.
Heath earned his Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Iowa State University and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the American Society for Quality.
