Government Contracting Specialist
John Michel joined CIRAS as a Government Contracting Specialist with the APEX Accelerators, serving clients in Western Iowa.
John brings over seven years of expertise in public procurement and contracting, specializing in various commodity areas, including scientific, medical (veterinary), construction, and MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations).
In his past duties as a Senior Procurement Agent, he was responsible for soliciting, awarding, and administering contract requirements for Iowa State University and the Regent Universities. John brings extensive experience in RFP writing, contract management, and many other areas of government contracting.
John works directly with Iowa small businesses to build relationships with industry partners. He offers personalized guidance to businesses, helping them navigate the complexities of government contracting and positioning them for success in securing government contracts.
John earned his Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University in 2015.
