  • America is becoming a “hot spot” for aerospace manufacturing, according to Reuters. The story cites a study that analyzed investment decisions. Apparently, everything started shifting here in 2012.
  • A can manufacturing company is looking at Burlington as a possible site for a $25 million factory, according to KWQC-TV. It’d mean 120 jobs.
  • ICYMI, the Cedar Rapids Gazette had a story over the weekend (from the Washington Post) about a 3-D printed building.
  • And another ICYMI item: Facebook and LinkedIn on Friday announced a plan to boost the number of women studying engineering. There’ll be mentoring and support programs at colleges. According to , the hope is to attract females into some Silicon Valley jobs.
